LOCATION & CAMPING

CLICK IMAGE TO ENLARGE OR FOR PRINTABLE VERSION

We are proud to present Esthetic Evolution at the scenic and spacious Twin Springs Resort.  Twin Springs is located a leisurely 1 hour's drive Northeast of Boise.  The drive takes you through Idaho's beautiful and historic national forest past Arrowrock Dam and beyond the reservoir which it contains.

The Festival will be be mainly located in the meadow just past the main resort. There will be plenty of camping space within the meadow allowing easy access to the many presentations being offered.  In addition, a location has been secured at the river where participants will be able to find respite from the heat of the day and enjoy additional performances of music right on the banks of the North Fork of the Boise River.

Please check out Twin Springs website for a general idea of the venue and some interesting details about the resort and surrounding countryside:

LEAVE NO TRACE

Esthetic Evolution is a “Leave-No-Trace” camping event. Each participant is encouraged to stay all weekend and is responsible for their own trash and other personal items they bring with them. The ethic is very simple; if you bring it to the Festival, you take it home with you (Pack It In / Pack It Out). Please respect our Mother Earth and your fellow community members by cleaning up after yourself. You are asked to contribute as much time as necessary to keeping the space you occupy at the Festival as close as possible to its natural state before your arrival and show no sign of your presence once you leave.

TIPS & TRICKS

[To Reduce Your Waste At Esthetic Evolution]

There are things you can do to reduce your waste and therefore the amount of garbage you will need to bring back with you. Much of this will require that you plan ahead and make sure you allow yourself enough time to pack in an organized way.

  1. The first thing you can do is to reduce the amount of potential waste you may bring with you BEFORE leaving town. Remove some or all of the packaging on food products and put the food into reusable plastic containers.  If you don't bring that extra bit of wrapping that will inevitably become trash, you won't have to take it with you!

  2. Cans or plastic bottles are lighter and a more manageable alternative to glass.  Drinks packaged in aluminum or plastic can be smashed down into a much smaller size, once they are empty, which reduces the amount of space that your recycling will take up.

  3. Another thing you can do, if you do have to bring along products which produce waste (i.e. food supplies), we recommend you use products which are packaged in paper or cardboard which can be burned safely and cleanly.  These can be discarded in a fire pit or burn barrel thus eliminating this waste for you altogether! (PLEASE no cans, bottles, plastic or other non-Earth-friendly items in the fire pits and burn barrels).

  4. Food can also be prepared before you come up to the event or bring food items that do not require a great deal of preparation and clean up.  This will effectively minimize or reduce the amount of products you may have to use to clean up after yourself.  Please keep in mind, there is NO RUNNING WATER at this event so cleaning up your food preparation can be very difficult.

CAMPING SUPPLIES

Following is a list of suggested items to bring with you to insure your survival as well as your comfort. Please pay special attention to the NOTES of each subsection as they are descriptions and clues as well as requirements for the safe and pleasant experience that we intend to provide for every participant:

Tent Air Mattress / Sleeping Pad / Cot
  Tarp / Groundcover Pillows
Shade Canopy & Screen Structure Blankets
  Rain Cover Propane (Spare Bottle)
  Stakes Camp Stove
  Sleeping Bags Camping Shower

NOTES: The ground up in the meadow is not the most even surface. We would prefer that you not go terraforming your camping location but rather, plan to bring mattresses or other sleeping pads to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Although we do not anticipate that we will have any precipitation at the Event, it would be a good idea to be prepared for any adverse weather conditions.

  Lotion Alarm Clock
  Deodorant Water Bottle
  Soap Costumes & Accessories
  Wash Cloth Sunglasses
  Toilet Paper Warm Clothing

NOTES: You won't really need that much clothing for the daytime, and clothing is not required. It will, however, be a very good idea to bring layers of clothing to keep you comfortable during the cold evenings and early mornings. Remember, there will be a spot to hang out at the river on Saturday so plan on getting wet as well. Keep in mind that the climate will be very hot and shade will be limited. Plan to be in the sun for an extended period of time by bringing protection for your skin and lips and STAY HYDRATED.
